课前准备：

虚拟一个情景，告诉学生“老师收到一封外国友人的来信，要买古币。”课前让学生收集古币，并作介绍

Part1: Present the task of this lesson（呈现任务）

Show a letter from a foreign friend to the students and ask them to help

Part2: Carry out the task step by step（分步骤执行任务）

Step1: Listen and watch to get the following information about coins

 1.The earliest coins were used in China from more than 3000 years ago

2. Coins may be of different sizes, weights shapes and of different metals

3. Many materials were used as money before coins appeared

Step2: get the students to introduce the coins they collected before class

Step3: Listen and watch. After that, fill in the form about the discovery of collections of coins

 Part 3 Fulfill the task（完成任务）

  Sum up the content of the lesson and show the students how to write a reply to the letter from the foreign friend.

Homework

1.      Finish off the “follow-up” activities on the task paper.

2.      write a letter to Cinderella’s friend, introducing the special coins that have been collected.
